Transport Tycoon

This game needs no special introduction. Designed by Chris Sawyer, it is one of, if not the best transport simulation that is being played to this very day by thousands fanatics, including myself.

Ever since I discovered Transport Tycoon at the last ECTS (European Computer Trade Show) in London, I have not ceased thinking about the release date for this fabulous game. The two long months of waiting were really unbearable and I still ask myself how I survived them. Nevertheless, since patience is one of my virtues (among many I modestly admit), and patience is always rewarded, "Transport Tycoon" is finally available.

You name it--beautiful graphics, a near-perfect interface, and a chance to play god (or at least Andrew Carnegie). The inadequate documentation is the game's only big drawback. Buy it. Classic games like this don't come around often.

Ein intakter Spielstand bei Transport Tycoon ist ähnlich befriedigend wie eine vollendete Modelleisenbahn-Anlage: Der Aufbau war langwierig und mit so manchem Rückschlag verbunden, aber wenn alles mal läuft, lehnt man sich befriedigt zurück. Allzu tiefschürfende taktische Hintergründe dürfen Sie ebenso wenig erwarten wie große Überraschungseffekte. Hier wird lediglich munter gebaut oder geplant, das aber auf hohem Niveau: unterhaltsam und verblüffend kurzweilig.

Er du typen, der har nydt at spille Railroad Tycoon og SimCity eller kan du lide at lege med tog, er Transport Tycoon præcis det spil, du vil nyde af få stjålet din nattesøvn af. Køb det.

Transport Tycoon ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, macht aber immer noch viel Spaß. Die Grafik sieht sogar für heutige Verhältnisse recht passabel aus. Eine umfangreiche Welt, Städtewachstum und Fortschritte bei Fahrzeugen und Industrie lassen für einige Wochen keine Langeweile aufkomme
