Man får mycket känsla av "Civilization" i detta spel, men detaljrikedomen är inte lika stor. Antalet faktorer som påverkas av olika händelser är mindre. Och istället för att bygga ut städer, bygger man ut ett helt landskap på en gång.

Auch Gremlin beglückte 1991 die Solo-Strategen mit zehn futuristischen Welten in Iso-3D, die inhaltlich jedoch eher mit dem Städtebauklassiker „Sim City“ verwandt sind. Dementsprechend stehen die wirtschaftlichen und politischen Aspekte stark im Vordergrund, denn die zahlreichen Wünsche der Bevölkerung nach Wohnhäusern, Fabriken, Freizeitanlagen, Krankenhäusern, niedriger Kriminalitätsrate usw. machen fast mehr Arbeit als die Bekämpfung der rechnergesteuerten Aliens. Trotz der etwas hakeligen Steuerung und dem müden Sound war der komplett deutsche Genremix so erfolgreich, daß für Gremlin kein Weg an der Datadisk „The New Worlds“ mit weiteren zehn Zukunftswelten vorbeiführen.
