Press Release (North American Playstation):
DreamCatcher's Popular PC Game - Dracula - The Resurrection - Haunts the PlayStation®
Toronto, ON (June 14, 2001), It is going to get bloody this summer, because DreamCatcher, a fast-growing publisher of PC and console entertainment software, has just shipped Dracula -- The Resurrection for the PlayStation®. Now console players can sink their teeth into this eerily immersive and haunting journey. Players will need to stay alert, though, or they may find blood on their hands.
Based on the characters from Bram Stoker's suspenseful novel, this game jumps the player forward seven years from Jonathan Harker's faithful rescue of his fiancée Mina from the fangs of Dracula. Now married and comfortably living in London, Jonathan thinks his nightmare is behind him until he comes home to find a letter from his wife, who was bitten by Dracula several years ago on the night of his death. Unable to ignore her call for blood, she is returning to Transylvania. Jonathan's search for his wife - and his life - takes the player through an Inn, Caverns, a Rail System and Dracula's Castle on his desperate passage to bring Mina back to London.
With an intuitive interface, this nocturnal adventure immerses the player into spectacularly spooky surroundings, complete with a haunting musical score, cinematic quality cut-scenes and life-like 3D characters. Further, the game's puzzles don't interrupt the nerve-wracking atmosphere, but are well integrated into the quest and are fun to solve.
