Trivia

Development

3D Space Wars was Steve Turner's first game, and was written without any assembler, since it was in the very early days of the Spectrum. Instead, he had to write it in machine code on paper, convert it manually into hex and enter that as BASIC strings. The graphics were designed in a similar manner. The game was written in six weeks. It was Steve's only 16K Spectrum game. In the early days Steve's business was called ST Software. It had two employees, Steve and Andrew Braybrook. The business later became a limited company with the 'off the shelf' name of Graftgold Ltd.
