Draw a Stickman: Epic
Description official description
Draw a Stickman: EPIC is the third game in the Draw a Stickman series. While it shares some elements from the first two games that are quite alike, EPIC is a very different game. The basics are the same: you draw a custom stickman figure you can then use in different environments by drawing various objects and tools. The first two games however were more of an interactive film that was paused for the player to draw and then continued. This title has a more open gameplay approach with more freedom and interactivity.
At the start you draw a custom character based on nineteen colours (the previous games had just one). Only four are available at the start and the other ones are unlocked by locating a character carrying it. There is one hidden in each level and you can redraw a character with new colours at any moment. You also get to draw and name a friend who is then immediately kidnapped and the goal is to rescue your friend.
The game consists of different levels unlocked gradually. Each one is a fairly open environment completed by locating a door. The character can move around freely and interact with the environment. Each level provides a number of pencils with a specific function used to draw free form shapes. They are selected from the bottom right side of the screen and there is no limit to their use. They key pencil is used to draw a yellow key to open locks, the axe pencil provides an axe to chop down trees or objects, the snow pencil can freeze characters and objects in the environment, the fire pencil burns down wood and lights fires or candles, and the cloud pencil creates a cloud to make it rain, causing plants to grow for instance. If the cloud has spiked lines or is filled up, lightning is added as well, used to conduct electricity or to attack. To progress you need to experiment with the different abilities and their effects on the environment. Your drawings do not need to resemble the intended shape closely, almost anything goes.
Next to the pencils other types of actions are needed to solve the environment based puzzles. The character can be hit a few times, but if it happens too much in succession the level is restarted. Levels are shown on a map inside a book. Completed levels are marked with three icons: a new colour when it was discovered, a check if it was completed, and a blue puzzle piece if you found that item. Each level has a hidden puzzle piece that forms a puzzle in the main menu. Some levels contain a page used to form a story accessed from the main menu. There is an additional snow level where you need to save penguins. Achievements are stored in a separate trophy environment.
