CART: Flag to Flag

Coming across the finish line with a super-solid frame-rate and graphics to simply die for, Flag-To-Flag marks the beginning of the end for sub-par motor-sports offerings in the console arena.

Fans of CART racing should not be disappointed in this game. Non-fans may find some enjoyment, but I really did not think there was anything revolutionary in this game. It played and controlled solidly, but there will not be anything that really blows you away. Overall, it is still a solid effort.

F2F is a fine looking first-generation DC title that shows off much of the platform's graphical prowess, but doesn't do much with all of that power at its disposal.

If [Monaco GP]'s difficulty has kept you out of the racing market, then Flag to Flag is your choice. The ease of game play offers instant success and rewards (instead of frustration and last place finishes), but may become too easy as you continue to play. When you strip the tires from these racers you'll find that the Dreamcast has a title to fit everyone's needs.

Aimed mainly at the C.A.R.T. fan, other Dreamcast owners waiting for a great racer would be better advised to look into Sega Rally 2.
