The Grinch

Na also! Die Kritikpunkte der PS-Version wurden verbessert. Weder die Kameraperspektive noch die geringe Sichtweite stören nun noch das abwechslungsreiche, gelungene Gameplay. Zwar ist The Grinch grafisch noch weit davon entfernt, das DC wirklich zu fordern, doch immerhin kommt die nette Cartoon-Grafik so ansprechend zur Geltung. Da die Steuerung jetzt noch präziser reagiert, kann ich den DC-Grinch eigentlich jedem Jump'n'Run-Fan wärmstens ans kalte Herz legen. Einzig der doch recht moderate Schwierigkeitsgrad wird echte Hardcore-Zocker nicht sonderlich lange fordern. Doch für jüngere X-Mas-Hasser ist dieser Titel somit umso besser geeignet.

Cette adaptation Dreamcast de The Grinch se révèle quasiment identique à la version Playstation et ne propose aucune amélioration majeure. Le gameplay n'est pas très amusant et s'avère trop répétitif. Un plate-forme 3D qui lasse rapidement.

The Grinch is generally fun and easy to play, but a few of the more tedious missions (read: stealth) are bound to turn off certain gamers. The camerawork is better than average, but the controls to select and use gadgets are needlessly complicated. It's rough around the edges, but the Grinch somehow succeeds in spite of itself. This is one of the few video games I can recall with a Christmas theme, making it a nice title to pull out in December.
