Overall, I found Test Drive Le Mans to simply be the most enjoyable game I've ever played on a console for quite awhile. There's hardly anything that I can find a complaint with as the entire package is pretty darn impressive.

This game is a must-buy! It has raised the bar for console racers and set the new standard for racing games. With its great graphics, realistic car dynamics, excellent tracks, and the performance of GT and prototype cars, Test Drive Le Mans should be on the wish list of all driving fans - and at $29, it’s a screaming good deal.

C'est à ce moment là qu'Infogrames réussit son coup car Melbourne House nous pond une simulation absolument fabuleuse. Oubliez tout ce que vous avez vu sur les précédentes versions.

Aufgrund der technischen Möglichkeiten der Konsole sind in diesem Spiel die Feinheiten noch ausgereifter. Das Fahrverhalten der Autos ist deutlich verbessert ebenso wie ihre Struktur die aus bis zu 2500 Polygonen besteht.Die zusätzlichen Rennstrecken sind ebenfalls deutlich detaillierter.

While the dreamcast is ever fading into our memories. There is still a lot of life in the system. Remember it is not the hardware that is killing the Dreamcast it’s the lack of software and public support. So it’s getting pretty rare when we get a game that makes use of the Dreamcast’s full potential. We all really wish there were more people on the side of the Dreamcast. But alas, were not in control of the money, and we wouldn’t want to loose money either. So while prices are low and hardware is still available add this game to your list of must have titles this holiday season.

This game doesn't convey the illusion of tremendous speed, and this is even more apparent in the multi-player modes. In the split-screen mode, the lap times are often displayed right in your line of sight, which is really annoying. Finally, the loading is frequent and long. Arcade fans may not go for Test Drive Le Mans, but Dreamcast owners looking for a realistic racer will love it.

Men det där är småsaker och i grunden är det här givetvis ett bra, om än föga originellt, bilspel. Om man sedan tycker att det är en riktig höjdare eller bara bra är också en smaksak. Själv lutar jag åt det senare och dessutom väntar jag fortfarande på att någon spelutvecklare ska våga ta tillbaka den gamla, klassiska Le Mans-starten som gick ut på att förarna sprang ikapp till sina parkerade bilar.
