SEGA Bass Fishing

Bass Fishing puts arcade action back into the sport (like it was ever there to begin with, right?) There's no complicated setup here; just pick your bait, cast, and hook some fish! This is my kind of fishing game! You'll have to pay extra for the Sega fishing controller, but it's well worth it.

If you're looking for a good fishing game then look no further than Sega Bass Fishing it does just about everything you could want from the genre. Gamers expecting more might be a little disappointed, but if you're the type of person that wishes he could fish 24 hours a day this game was made for you.

If you are looking for a fun party type game, I suggest picking up a fishing controller along with this game. You will have some good, quick fun. If you are looking for a deep, long lasting fishing experience, you will be disappointed. I do suggest at least a rental just to see the cool graphics and the fish alone are worth the five dollar rental fee. Just don't expect any long fights, that is for sure.

As an all-around title for the everyman who might own a Dreamcast, Sega Bass Fishing is a non-threatening, lightly challenging little game that should keep fishing fans more than happy with its placid, lakeside offerings. For the hard-core gamer this is nothing more than a rental, but if you jones for the great outdoors on a more than regular basis, this may be the gumdrop for your sweet tooth.

Tyvärr räcker det dock inte för att ge Sega Bass Fishing tillräcklig livslängd. I synnerhet inte om man har kostat på sig den utmärkta specialhandkontrollen. Man vill helt enkelt ha mer innehåll. Mycket mer. Och idéerna hoppar upp medan man sitter där och vevar. Fler fisksorter behövs givetvis först och främst. Det hade gjort det hela betydligt mer intressant om man till exempel fick poäng beroende på art och variationen hade kunnat blivit betydligt större om man hade kunnat få upp allt från lax till ål. Och varför inte lite mer varierande väderleksförhållanden? Och djuphavsfiske efter de riktigt stora bytena. Och flugfiske. Och... men snyggt är det i alla fall.

Sega Bass Fishing est un jeu de pêche sportive à vocation "Arcade" qui ne propose pas énormément de possibilités. La vue sous-marine est la seule possible, et le manque de faune et de variété rendent ce titre vite lassant et sans grand intérêt. Il est cependant assez amusant de sortir des monstres de 10 kilos et le jeu devient vraiment divertissant avec l'utilisation de la canne à pêche Dreamcast. Un investissement est donc à prévoir, mais seul Sega Bass Fishing ne suffit pas à dépenser une telle somme. Ceux qui possèdent déjà l'ustensile seront donc ravis, alors que les autres ne pourront qu'être déçus.
