Sonic Shuffle

Sonic Shuffle est donc un titre convivial, mais plutôt moyen qui ne vaut que si l'on y joue à plusieurs. La réalisation est impeccable, mais le gameplay n'est pas toujours efficace et se révèle assez ennuyeux. Les mini-jeux n'interviennent pas assez souvent, et ne dégagent pas autant de fun que l'on aurait pu l'espérer.

Ett långsammare, lite tråkigare och kanske aningen mer strategiskt alternativ till Hudsons Nintendo-spel kan man sammanfatta Sonic Shuffle som, vilket gör att jag hellre spöar Love i Mario Party 2 än i det här. Som vanligt krävs det mänskligt motstånd för att man ska ha glädje av att spela brädspel i TV-spelsform. Jag tror nog att jag väntar på Sonic Adventure 2 istället.

When all's said and done, Sega should have sat down and looked at Mario Party, and tried to work out what made it so popular. Board games aren't really party games, are they? It's the mini-games and variety of tasks on hand that build up the party atmosphere, and that's where Sonic Shuffle falls down. It's just not worth persevering with, and Mario Party (and its sequel) stomp all over it. If you're looking for a good console come board game, buy an N64, at the moment, the only alternative likely to get your friends moving on Dreamcast is Samba De Amigo.

There are some original ideas here, like running around a giant turntable or avoiding crashing waves, but the fun factor is seriously lacking. At least the load times aren't bad, but Sonic Shuffle should have been much better.

Believe me there is plenty more for me to rant about in this game like the ill conceived battle system or horrible storyline but by now you get my point. This is a game I would recommend to no one, not even the most diehard of Sonic fans out there. It is not fun in any way, shape or form no matter how many people you're playing it with. The only thing it could ever do at a party is get your quests quickly spouting excuses to leave and reaching for the door.
