Sports Jam

Variety is the name of this game, and the graphics are slick and polished. An obnoxious announcer hosts the festivities, and like most Olympic-style games, each event is preceded with some quick instructions. The controls are simple - sometimes too simple, and the quality of the events is uneven. I could play the tennis, golf, and field goal events all day, but the touchdown and cycling games are shallow, carpool-tunnel inducing button mashers. Still, the split-screen head-to-head action is undeniably fun.

Douze épreuves sportives variées, amusantes et faciles à prendre en main, faisant en majorité appel à votre sens du rythme et à votre précision, mais aussi parfois à votre maîtrise du matraquage de bouton, font de Sports Jam un honnête divertissement. Mais hélas, assez peu de temps : ce type de complication de mini-jeux n'est amusant qu'à plusieurs (oubliez donc les plaisirs solitaires). Dans ces conditions, le maximum de deux joueurs accepté par Sports Jam fait pâle figure... Le jeu reste défoulant, malgré ces défauts auxquels s'ajoute une réalisation un peu ratée sur certaines épreuves.
