Wacky Races

I’m very impressed with this game. Its great controls, bright, crisp graphics and sound, and variety of racing styles, challenges, and vehicles, will keep you entertained for many hours and probably weeks. I simply had a hard time pulling myself away from the TV (whaddya mean it’s time for bed, I just started, um, oh, four hours ago...). This game is even fun to just watch someone else play if you aren’t in the mood. Connect up to four controllers and get some people together for a Wacky Race of your own. If you like the "Wacky Races" cartoon, you need this game. If you’ve never even heard of "Wacky Races," but like go-kart style games or racing games in general, you’re sure to enjoy this game which is why I’m happy to give it a score of 91.

Throw in multi-player and battle mode, and this game certainly has legs on it. Granted, they may not be as technically stable as I would have liked to see from a title with this many positive things going for it, but I guess we can't expect every publisher to take kids games as seriously as we do. *Sigh* Oh well. When the cartoon cloud of dust and fists settles, Wacky Races is an above average racer that is cute and easy enough to appeal to younger gamers, and deep enough to give older gamers a run for their money. If you're looking for something that fits that bill and don't mind playing a game that obviously lacks some polish, you'll definitely have fun with this one.

Wacky Races is, without a doubt, the best kart racer that I've seen in a long while. It's insane graphics and overall wackiness is something to behold. A better camera and some lengthier tracks would have done wonders, but we've still got a winner here.

Wacky Races is a visual treat for animation junkies, and fans of the series will love seeing their favorites again. If you're not a fan of old cartoons, though, you might want to race right by Wacky Races.

With the exception of random AI, Wacky Races is a license-based racing game done right. The control is wonderful, the gameplay is fun, the visuals are superb, and the sound is delightful. Sure, there are a few quirks to get used to, and the difficulty level is less than forgiving, but these nitpicks are no reason not to give Wacky Races a chance.

En bref, Les Fous du Volant offre un jeu définitivement amusant, assez difficile et visuellement très agréable. De quoi s’amuser pendant longtemps, même si vous ne connaissiez pas la série.

Idén som spelet bygger på är briljant, men för det första är den inte Infogrames, och för det andra så finns det redan hur många liknande racingspel som helst. Dessa två faktum gör att jag stör mig på Wacky Races. Och då hjälper det inte att Infogrames vill ge Dreamcast-spelarna ett eget Mario Kart. För min del var loppet kört redan innan det hade börjat. Någon annan kanske tycker annorlunda.
