DescriptionDungeonland is a hack & slash action game without a plot. There is an evil Dungeon Maestro who populates an amusement park with monsters and traps. Three heroes - one warrior, one rogue and one mage - have to fight through these levels in order to get riches. While the levels itself stay the same, the monsters and treasures are randomized.
Gameplay itself is simple: the players walk through the dungeon with direct controls and click on monsters until they die. Each hero has one special attack, e.g. the mage may have the ability to make a firewall or the rogue has a stealth attack - which can be combined for bigger effect. There are three possible abilities per class. A hero also carries a potion with limited usage which gives a buff or healing. After beating a level, the player can visit the item shop and use the earned money to buy upgrades, potions or optical enhancements without practical benefit.
The Infinite Dungeon mode features a completely random dungeon with the goal to survive as long as possible. In the Dungeon Maestro mode on the other hand, a fourth player joins in and takes the villain's role - the goal is obviously to kill the heroes. The player has a deck of playing cards available, e.g. representing a boss or traps - and can play them out while the heroes fight through the level. Another possibility is to take control over a single monster which then controls similar to a hero. More powerful cards can be bought.
Dungeonland is a free-to-play game and supports itself with micro-transactions. However, the item shop is completely powered by in-game money - the only thing to buy are more available items and additional levels. While the game is designed as co-op experience, the game can also be played with/against bots. For the Dungeon Maestro mode, there is only online multiplayer available.
