Ever wonder how much fun a true flight simulator would be if it were combined with an adventure story and RealSound?

ECHELON is the code name for a top secret military facility located near Isis, a newly discovered planet at the edge of our solar system. ECHELON was established by the International Space Federation (ISF) to protect shipping and mining operations from attack by renegade pirate vessels who have terrorized commerce in the area and are beginning to gain an upper hand.

YOUR ORDERS are to report to ECHELON to be trained to operate the 21st Century’s most advanced spacecraft, the C-104 Light Cruiser, code named TOMAHAWK. This patrol vessel has been designed specifically for planetary exploration and is equipped with the latest technology in weapons and scientific equipment.

ONCE you’re given command of a C-104, you’ll be stationed in a vast territory known as Patrol Zone 106. While on patrol, you’ll discover thousands of objects and structures to explore on the planet’s surface. Through the retrieval of “high resolution” artifacts (over 240) that can be transported aboard your spacecraft, you’ll search for the solution to a series of mysterious and puzzling events happening in this area...A word of advice, you’re not the first pilot to have this assignment. Use caution or it may be your last!

ECHELON is a true simulator that puts you at the controls of the C-104 and in the heart of the action. The craft can be operated inside the patrol zone under 3 different classifications. These include:

    1. Scientific - This level is for those who wish to fly, explore, and gather information without being attacked.

    2. Patrol - Encounter enemy spacecraft while exploring the unknown.

    3. MilItary - Non-stop action facing hostile enemy spacecraft.

Features aboard the C-104 Tomahawk include:
    • 3 Different ‘State of the Art' Weapon Systems
    • Twin 3-D Screens
    • Bi-Directional Transporter Unit
    • Real-Time Infrared Vector Graphics
    • Unmanned Remote Piloted Vehicle Control
    • Computer Information Data Link

RealSound(tm) is a patent pending technology that allows MS-DOS computers to play back hardware-quality digitized sounds such as speech, sound effects, music, etc. without adding any hardware to the user’s computer.

Here’s what the reviewers say about ECHELON:

Outstanding sound and graphics...Fascinating depth. -- COMPUTE!

Takes space simulation to a whole new level... Four stars! -- COMPUTER ENTERTAINER

A beautiful tour-de-force of flight simulation! -- NIBBLE MAGAZINE
