If you've yet to pick up the original release of Oblivion, the GOTY re-release is one of those games that you'll likely play for months and months, without end. The sheer scope is so immense, that it feels as if the game has no end. Furthermore, the sense of freedom is arguably the best an RPG game has ever seen. But most importantly, Oblivion's learning curve is what you make of it. Meaning, it can be complicated or easily accessible - the choice is yours. Do not pass up this Oblivion package if you're an avid RPG fan, you'd be a fool if you did.

Aside from being the best multimedia experience ever created for a home audience, Oblivion: Game of the Year proves without a doubt that videogames can be art, and a very fine art at that. The only thing that might justifiably deter people from buying this game is if they already purchased the additional content and expansion pack and still have the original game in their possession. For all others, however, there's really no excuse. Oblivion is more than a game; it's a fantasy-world experience unlike any other. Game of the Year? More like game of the decade. But hey, we didn't name this one; Bethesda did.
Yet again, this is the closest thing we've got right now to an offline MMORPG. That means even more gameplay for the money with the GOTY Edition, and with a huge story and hundreds of hours of exploration to be had, good luck finding a better value.

The GOTY edition is an awesome game to Bethesda's fourth entry in The Elder Scrolls series. It compliments a player's ability to make decisions, offers and provides for an unforgettable journey once again through the world of Oblivion.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition is incredible value. Exploring all the game has to offer will take well in excess of 200 hours and despite its age (in next-gen terms) it still delivers the production value you'd expect from a modern adventure game. If you want one game to deliver the goods until the flurry of new releases hit later in the year, this is it.
Oblivion is still one of the best RPGs available on next-gen consoles, and this is a great package for those just starting their explorations of Tamerial. If you've already picked up Oblivion, we'd recommend waiting on this package until the price dips a bit or just picking up Shivering Isles on its own.
Oblivion is still one of the best RPGs available on next-gen consoles, and PS3 fans are finally getting a chance to experience the Shivering Isles. While we still wish that Bethesda had just released Shivering Isles separately for the PS3, this is a great package for those just starting their explorations of Tamerial. We'll see you in a hundred hours. But if you've already picked up the original Oblivion, we'd recommend waiting on this package until the price dips a bit.
