Sure, the game looks good. But why do the faces of NPCs have to glow? I see more and more games doing this. Does anyone really think that those brightly shining faces look beautiful or realistic? I swear, some of the games I've seen must have even attached a light source to the faces!

This seems to be the new "lens flare". Except that the lens flares actually made some slight sense. But this is total B.S.

I was never bothered with lens flare, until I've learned to hate it via Internet. So do I not care about glowing faces.

I believe turning HDR and Bloom off will help your cause greatly.

I don't have anything against HDR or Bloom in general... it can generate nice lighting effects, like for a sunset, when the sun shines over the hillside, and such. (Although yes, I do think that it is sometimes overused)

After all it DOES add some realism, because this is also an effect we see with our own eyes.

But in reality, I have never seen faces glow. It's just totally ridiculous and it doesn't even look good!
