The Empire Fights Back screenshots

This screen displays as the game loads - but only briefly

The game then plays with itself while the load completes. This is the first in a series of different central panels that are shown while the main shows the player flying down a tunnel

After a short wait the player gets the chance to start the game.

Upon starting the player is presented with this screen which is actually giving the option of starting mission 1 - 5

Shooting the balls seemed to be automatic

Now the player has reached the jump gate or whatever this thing is

There's a short sequence when the ship transitions to the next phase of the game

The objective is to locate the core while avoiding the patrolling drones, there's one on screen now and its red.

That's what the player is looking for!

Core located and extracted

After locating the core the screen flashes for a bit and the player is transported here

There's no way through. This must be the fifth mine that's not fully unlocked until missions 1 - 4 have been completed...

On leaving what must be the fifth mine the player is presented with the remaining mines / missions and the game continues as before
