Enigma: Rising Tide updates the original game and adds some new features.
This is a team-oriented naval sim in which three giant factions vie for supreme control on and under Earth's oceans. Choose to be the Commander from the United States, Imperial Germany or the League of Free Nations. You begin as the Commander of one World War II ship, but as your experience grows and you rise up in the ranks, you may become the Admiral of an entire fleet of warships.
Strategically command your team in furious naval combat aboard submarines, destroyers and other vessels. Have them launch torpedoes and drop depth charges. When hordes of enemy aircraft swarm your ship, issue orders to your crew to retaliate by firing the big guns from the deck. Grab a gun yourself and get into the action! Realism is added with sea and atmospheric conditions, accurately detailed equipment and vessels and a fast-moving story.
In addition to the typical keyboard and mouse control, a Voice Command Control system was introduced in the original release, offering players "hands-free" gaming with the attachment of a microphone. This
Gold Edition adds to that experience with Professional Crew Response so you can hear confirmation of your orders. Other additions include enhancements to graphics and effects, more missions, new ships and weapons.
