Description
Awakening in a cell with no memory of who you are save for your name, Claire, you hear a voice in your head. It urges you to escape and guides you to the exit. As you progress, you discover that you have gained new psychic abilities. Who are you, and what has happened?
Escapee Go! is a top-down action game where you must reach the exit of each room. Most rooms require you to find an object which will unlock the exit (such as a keycard or a crowbar) before you can get out. You must also watch out for guards that roam the hallways, eager to recapture their escapee. The player can make Claire run by holding a button, but this drains the Stamina bar. When it's empty, Claire can only walk, but the meter slowly recharges over time. In certain rooms, Claire is also able to pick up special psychic powers that she can use to help her avoid her foes.
A unique feature of
Escapee Go! is that it features a simulation of line of sight. The level appears to be empty, but as you walk past corridors, enemies and items reveal themselves when they are in your line of sight. This means that an enemy could be right near you around a corner but you can't see them. Some of your psychic abilities expand your line of sight, to help you sense where enemies are earlier and react accordingly.
