Atari STACE (Advanced Computer Entertainment)
What Eye does do for the first time is bring well though-out, excellently programmed, carefully designed arcade-adventure to the 16bit machines - and with a spot of blasting to boot. There seems no reason why Logotron shouldn't launch a whole range of these - just as Ultimate did.
Atari STST Format
Eye of Horus successfully mixes shoot'em-up arcade-style action with intriguing puzzles and object manipulation to produce an interesting and challenging game. It may not be a major innovation or particularly original, but the element of Egyptian mythology makes it enjoyable enough to keep you battling Set and his minions for a long time.
Atari STAtari ST User
For hardened arcade addicts looking for a puzzle element to add to mindless blasting, this game should prove an enjoyable challenge.
Atari STThe One
Much the same as the PC version, though with a little less colour and one or two wooden sprites. The task is slightly easier though, because the mare distinct graphics and smoother scrolling allow for a greater amount of control over Horus.
DOSThe One
There are shoot 'em up elements, but on the whole the pace is more thoughtful than frenetic; ideal for anyone who likes a lasting challenge. The one major fault is that it's far too expensive: Eye Of Horus is a very compact game with a simple aim - and should have a price to match.
AmigaThe Games Machine (UK)
Horus is still at it. On the Amiga, Eye of Horus is virtually identical to the ST game, the graphics are as detailed and well drawn.

Graphically Eye Of Horus is very good, especially the backgrounds which are filled with very pretty hieroglyphics. Sound is also well represented by an atmospheric Egyptian composition by music maestro David Whittaker. At the end of the day we reckon that Eye Of Horus will appeal to puzzle fans more than we zappers.
AmigaAmiga Joker
Atari STASM (Aktueller Software Markt)
Alles in allem, durchaus lohnenswert.
Commodore 64The Games Machine (UK)
On the C64 our hawk-headed hero is a splodgy little guy who wanders aimlessly around the place. If you are an arcade strategy fan take a look, blasters won't like it very much.
DOSThe Games Machine (UK)
PC scrolling is jerky, but like the other versions is very hard to play. If you are an arcade strategy fan take a look, blasters won't like it very much.

AmigaAmiga Power
[Budget re-release] Utter rubbish that succeeds only in making the Amiga look like a C64 on a particularly bad day. Avoid it like a pharaoh's curse.
