If you have a surround sound system, you'll definitely want crank it up for this game. The crowd sound effects are remarkably clear, and when the chants resonate through the speakers, you really do feel "in the game". FIFA's rich option screens let you adjust the camera angles, weather conditions, game length, penalties, and music. Just be sure to change the playing mode to "Sim", because the "Action" mode is crazy fast - my friends couldn't keep up with it. As a nice bonus, halftime feature videos of "great moments in soccer". Sure to please even non-fans, FIFA is one of the best soccer titles I've ever come across.

FIFA International Soccer 3DO has made me a soccer fan (at least in the video game sense) and this is no small feat, I can assure you. For soccer fans and 3DO owners, you will have died and gone to Heaven when you get your hands on this game. The gameplay that has made the FIFA series an incredible success in the 16-bit world has made the translation intact and Extended Play Productions has harnessed all of the graphic power of the 3DO to produce the most incredible soccer game ever made.

EA's first soccer sim definitely scores, with detailed and diverse animation, stellar sound effects, a truckload of options, and - most importantly - easy-to-master gameplay that's totally true to the sport.

Definitely one of the best footy games around. Excellent to play when it's too wet to kick a ball around outside. FIFA International Soccer is worth considering , whether you're a footy fan or not.

If you already have the Genesis FIFA, save your money because there aren't enough changes to justify the CD price. If you don't have and FIFA games yet, get the CD, because FIFA is still the World Cup champion.

Pretty much everything EA put out on the console is great, but "FIFA" is different. It's still one of the most immensely enjoyable sports games ever produced, dominating then and now. When the only real complaint is with the menu system, you know you've found a classic.

The beauty of the game is it's simplicity --- the controls only used a couple of buttons to start with --- and that serves up well on Game Gear. It looks great, plays extremely well once you get the hang of it and even the music is pretty darn cool.

The chants and graphics aren't as dynamic as on the Genesis, but all in all, FIFA easily jumps to the head of the SNES soccer class.

If gameplay is your main concern you might invest in the Genesis version. But if you're willing to sit through a couple of "loading....please wait" screens in exchange for more of the atmosphere associated with international soccer, look no further.

Electronic Arts beschert uns die bislang ansehnlichste, vielseitigste und vor allem spannendste PC-Fußballsimulation.

Looks great, plays smooth, and has all the extras that a fan could want. Difficult passing and power kicks take a great deal of the fun out of play, at least at first... A very deep soccer sim for players who have the patience to deal with some quirky controls. Another winner from EA.

Graphically, FIFA has small but well animated players who jump and flip in celebration when they score a goal, and the little rotating soccer ball looks terrific. The game boasts 48 teams from all over the world, and there are a surprising number of options that let you tweak your lineup and strategy. The crowd noise has its share of static, but the chants are pretty neat. But it's the fact that FIFA is fun for even casual players that proves it's a great game.

FIFA on CD is a very cool soccer game, but some of the magic of the cartridge has been lost. There are almost enough CD goodies to make up for the slight degradation in control and ball animation, especially the hot sound and battery backup, but nearly every time you select an option from a menu there's one of those "Please Wait!" pictures. If you like the enhancements that CD sound brings to a cartridge game, this version is probably for you; otherwise, try both of them before you buy.

Players of all calibers will be able to instantly pick up and play this game; however, mastering the game and the high-caliber computer opponents will be long-term challenges. Fortunately, FIFA is so good you'll want to keep kicking to the end.

Anyone who has seen a match on public TV broadcast from Europe will recognize the singing that continues for much of the game. I can't figure out what they're chanting, but it sounds great. If FIFA Soccer doesn't put you on the mid-field line at Wembley Stadium then the fault lies within yourself, pal! So pick this one up and go have a super kick-about

Favorit i repris. FIFA är ett ganska svårstyrt fotbollsspel, men är ändå relativt spelvänligt. Grafiken ser mycket bra ut, och matcherna ses ur ett isotopiskt perspektiv. Ljudet är även det helt klart godkänt. Ett spel som nog passar bäst till fotbollsfantasten, men som är föga intressant för andra datorspelare.

Sadly, FIFA is hindered since it makes no use of the Sega CD's capabilities. This was obviously pushed out to fill space on a console with a sparse library of games. If you are a collector you will need this to finish a set. There is no reason to own this game otherwise.

If you like soccer then you should enjoy FIFA International Soccer. Even if you don't care for soccer, this is an above average portable game with plenty of replay value. Though one thing that is noticably missing is link compatibility.

The only other concern is that goalies seem to react slower than in the Genesis cartridge, with final scores closer to what you'd see on Monday Night Football than from an international soccer event. This game is more of an arcade-style experience because of the emphasis on offense. While FIFA International Soccer may not be the same game as the Sega version, it is still enjoyable on its own terms. Here's hoping that next year's version closes the gap.

Overall FIFA International Soccer is not too difficult. The goalies stop a lot of shots but oddly the shots from farther away tend to go in more often than the close ones. For an added dimension unlockable secret game modes allow such elements as a curving ball and invisible walls. Simply put, if you own a Genesis soccer game by EA Sports then there is no reason to get this game. However, if you do not you might as well choose this one for the improved sound.

FIFA International Soccer for the Game Gear packs a lot of action. Game modes include: Exhibition, Tournament, Playoffs and League. You can also customize your game by determining the length of each half, the type of field on which you play and whether or not to include fouls. Choose between simulation game-type and action game-type. It's a great translation from other versions of the game. You'll be able to perform bicycle kicks, diving headers and slide tackles. And the player animation won't disappoint you. It's a good game for those who want a soccer game they can take with them anywhere.

Jag känner mig lite kluven inför det här spelet. Grafik, ljud och presentation är av mycket hög kvalitet, och spelet ger ett gediget intryck. Roligast har man när möter en mänsklig motståndare, då råder en intensiv och kämpaglad stämning. Samtidigt lider det av en del spelmässiga brister som irriterar.

Overall, this is not the worst game released on the GG but some polish would have made this one of the best sports games for an otherwise dry console.
