SEGA SaturnThis game is the benchmark for 32 bit fighting games. A must have for all and certainly a great reason to own the Saturn. It has a great mixture of animation, special effects, gameplay and sound -- an instant classic for all hardcore gameplayers...
SEGA SaturnFighters Megamix is an excellent game in more ways than one. This is one of those games that will sell a system in a blink of an eye. If you have the money to get this game rush out to the stores and get yourself a copy while they still have it. This is a game that should not be missed.
SEGA SaturnSometimes it seems like a company does something just for the gaming fans. Though it often seems like the games that are released are not made with us in mind (the lack of endings jumps to mind), there are times when you just have to step back and admit to yourself, this is such a great idea, I'm glad somebody thought it would work. And even though Fighters Megamix is kind of a mixed bag, it is simply put the best fighting game on the system.
SEGA SaturnAll in all, Fighters Megamix provides plenty of bang for the buck. Sadly though, it is the closest Saturn owners will ever get to a real port of Virtua Fighter 3.
SEGA SaturnFighters Megamix doesn't look as polished as Soul Blade or Virtua Fighter 2, but it's easy to play and is well executed. Ultimately it's a last-gasp effort for a system running third behind its competitors. This one is for diehard Saturn fighting fans only.
SEGA SaturnForget about Virtua Fighter 3. Throw away the pretenders and wanna-bes. Fighters Megamix is the only fighting game a Saturn owner needs. At its heart, Fighters Megamix is a character-driven game. That is to say, it combines all the fighters from Virtua Fighter 2, every one of the fighters from Fighting Vipers, a couple of worthies from Virtua Fighter Kids, and a mess of characters from other Sega titles, including Janet from Virtua Cop 2, and Siba, a character rumored to have been cut from the original Virtua Fighter. One of the more bizarre characters is - believe it or not - the Hornet from Daytona USA that grabs opponents with one tire and uses another to lay a patch on the victim's face. Smokin'.
SEGA SaturnSome may consider this game to be a bit of a rehash, but if you just want to kick some serious booty, Megamix delivers the goods.
SEGA SaturnSega’s Virtua Fighter series shows every sign of becoming a variant-spinning franchise to match Capcom’s Street Fighter II series. But whereas Capcom’s sequels have occasionally disappointed, Sega’s only seem to get better. Virtua Fighter Remix may have delivered nothing more than its title promised but Fighters Megamix is a real feast for fans of Sega beat ‘em ups.
SEGA SaturnFighters Megamix is a good dose of goofiness in a genre that has been bogged down with seriousness. With a huge number of characters, moves, and surprises, this game should be one of the best fighters of all time. With the Fighting Vipers engine, however, it may just pass in to obscurity as a very good attempt. So if you're tired of all the basic "save-the-world" fighting games, you should take a gander at this game. If, however, you have a problem dealing with reality already, fighting as a kangaroo in a Santa outfit might not help.
Game.ComThere are no good fighting games on the Game.com, period. Never was, never will be. Sadly, this is the better of the two (the other being the despicable port of Mortal Kombat Trilogy), but that means nothing. Even the most jaded fan boys of Fighters Megamix will be turned off by the complete lack of gameplay, graphics, or any other rewarding features.
Game.ComFighters MegaMix on the Game.com will make you realize how you've been taking your Saturn for granted for all these years.
