Renegade and Andy Braybrook should take pride in the packaging and design of this programme. The graphics are fantastic, despite the unbelievability of their cute canine character.
91
AmigaMegaZone
Fire and Ice is a must for platform addicts and the cuteness of the whole package should definitely go down very well with a wide audience. It may very well become a classic.

AmigaAmiga Action
The Arctic, as we all know, is a freezing cold place. In fact, this land is not dissimilar to the land from which our hero comes in the latest Renegade game.

AmigaCU Amiga
This is one of the best platform games I've seen on the Amiga. It's extremely playable, the graphics are nothing short of fantastic, and there are so many great ideas and smart touches throughout that u need to have an extremely keen eye to notice them all. Despite its slightly 'kiddie' look, Fire And Ice is extremely challenging, and, once you've completed it, you can always go back and attempt to find all the secret levels.

AmigaZero
f you're into high quality games bursting with visual ecstasy which offer hours of fun without frustration, you should definitely consider getting this game.

AmigaAmiga Format
Fire And Ice is a great game, easily the best platformer I've played in a long time. If it had been a tad faster, then all would have been perfect, but that's no real criticism - just wishful thinking. No, an adventure with Cool Coyote comes highly recommended.

Amiga CD32Amiga Action
Perhaps the best compliment which can be paid in the revisited section is the fact that this fine game has been around for quite some time, but surprisingly doesn't yet look dated. And that's a hearty recommendation indeed.

AmigaAmiga Power
It's getting a little overcrowded in the console-styling platform games area, but Fire & Ice holds its own - partly down to the unparalled attention to detail and excellent level design. Sure, there're shades of other games in there, but the end result has a refreshing identity all its own. Great fun.

AmigaAmiga Computing
Fire and Ice is well put together, but slightly behind its time. No fresh ideas are explored in this game so it loses its appeal very quickly.

AmigaAmiga Joker

Wunderbar! Andrew Braybrooks neuester Geniestreich: Fire and Ice - das 92er Nonplusultra in Sachen Amiga-Jump'n'Run.

The graphics are beautifully drawn, Cool is smooth and controllable - he has a gun which fires ice pellets and it works great in the cold countries, but not so good in warmer climates. The levels are both interesting and varied and there's plenty of humour for those that like that sort of thing. One of the best platformers available for that machine.

Amiga CD32Amiga Power
A bit expensive for a two-year-old, but a more than welcome addition to the already-growing ranks of CD32 platformers.

Still, this is one of TecToy's better games and tons better than Battlemaniacs. I recommend this if you are looking for a new platform game to try, but if you need something fresh and innovative there are better games that are more exciting.

If you're desperate to play the daring adventures of a cool coyote, this is probably your only choice. That's a shame too. There's a lot that could be done in the cool coyote genre and it has yet to be done justice. With the right programmers, budget, and time, maybe someday the cool coyote will get his due credit. Until then, you'll have to live with this and try and make it past level four.
