Description
From Primordial Egg is an entry for the TIGSource Commonplace Book contest, winning second place. The game is a platformer, in which a player controls a dinosaur through five levels, chewing down on archaeologists on the way.
At the start of the game, the dinosaurs needs to be hatched from it's egg, by tapping the movement keys, or the action keys. Actions which can be performed by the dinosaur are jumping, kicking and biting. As the player kills the archaeologists, their bodies can be feasted upon, which not only restores the dinosaur's health, but after a certain amount eaten, they will lead to evolution.
The dinosaur will evolve depending on how the player plays and where he is hit the most by the enemies. For example, if the player uses kicking the most, it will make the dinosaur grow stronger legs or if it's head is hit the most, it will grow horns.
Enemies can damage the dinosaur with multiple weapons they find lying around, such as shovels, picks, stones or later on in the game, fire, dynamite and firearms.
