"Drawn to Bacchus's abode, I sought there to conspire.
But it was in the city of the dead that I found my heart's desire."
First, read today's newspaper. You read that a lecture about voodoo is held at Tulane University. Next, ask Grace for your messages. She tells you that Mosely is interrogating a suspect regarding the Voodoo Murders down at the PD, and that you might want to check it out. Ask for Wolfgang's phone number as well. Now read today's newspaper. There is a lecture at Tulane University, and the topic is Voodoo. If Bruno comes in, sell your father's painting and you will receive $100. Ignore Grace while you do this. Go on back by clicking the OPERATE cursor on the curtain.
Pick up the hair gel in the bathroom cabinet, and use the OPERATE cursor on the phone on Gabriel's desk to bring up a close-up. Read the torn out phone book page and write down the numbers for Madame Casanoux and Cajun Critters Veterinary Clinic. Call Casanoux's number and Casanoux will answer. Gabriel poses as an friend of the owner for Dixieland Drug Drug, but Casanoux has no idea what he is talking about. But during the conservation, Castro, Casanoux's dog, can be heard in the background. After Casanoux hangs up, dial Cajun Critters. When the list of choices appear, request Madame Casanoux's address, followed by I'm worried about Castro. He's missed three dance lessons. After you are given her address, call Wolfgang Ritter's number (the number is on the piece of paper that Grace gave you.) Wolfgang answers, who tells Gabriel that they have a lot to talk about. He also wants him to fly over to Germany, but Gabriel refuses the offer. Leave the book store and head over to Jackson Square.
Head for the northeast quadrant and talk to the artist to receive his reconstructed vévé pattern. Now go to the northwest corner and approach the fortune teller. Shortly, she will start dancing around you. During this time, click the HAND cursor on her. When she is done, get the veil and examine it with the magnifying glass. Click the LOOK cursor on the veil to get a closer look at it. There is a snake scale clinging to it. Use the tweezers to get it. Return the veil to the fortune teller and compare both snake scales in inventory. Leave Jackson Square and return to St. George's.
There, ask Grace to do some research on the vévé pattern that you got from the artist. (If you haven't yet sold the painting to Bruno, make sure that you do it now, and you'll get $100.) Leave the bookstore and travel to the Dixieland Drug Store.
Give your $100 to the clerk, and not only do you receive Willy Jr., but you also get a bottle of lagniappe since your purchase was over $50. Now didn't Grace say that Mosely was interrogating a suspect over at the Police Department? Don't want to be late for that. So scoot on over there and go straight into Mosely's office. You're just in time for the interrogation. Watch as Mosely interrogates Crash, their suspect accused of being involved in the Voodoo Murders. Also notice that Mosely repeatedly points the finger at him while he questions Crash. After the interrogation, you have nothing else to do at the PD, so head for St. Louis Cemetery #1.
Go right (x3) and you meet Malia at her family tomb. Malia wants nothing to do with Gabriel after his little incident. Gabriel invites her over to the book store at night, but she refuses. When you are done here, go to Tulane University by going into Greater New Orleans and then clicking on the graduate's mortar board.
Relax and listen to lecture conducted by Professor Hartridge about voodoo. The lecture will get rather boring, that Gabriel decides to snooze it off, but at least you learn a few new terms. After being woken up after having a bad dream, go into Hartridge's office at the back of the theater. Inside, talk to the professor about Voodoo, cabrit san cor', and Black Voodoo until he repeats himself. Show Hartridge the vévé pattern and the murder photo. Now leave Tulane and head to the French Quarter. Travel to St. Louis Cathedral, located near Jackson Square.
Open the door at the rear of the church, on the right side. Here, get the priest's collar from the box in the left side of the closet. Pickup the priest's robe as well. Leave the cathedral and travel to Madame Casanoux's by clicking on the dog.
Before you knock on the door, dress Gabriel in his priest outfit and use the hair gel for a touch-up. Knock on the door. When Casanoux answers and ask who it is, say you are Father MacLaughlin. After being let in and the two of you sit on the couch, ask Casanoux about cabrit san' cor. When she asks you if you know what it is, say goat without horns. Next, ask Casanoux about Human Sacrifice and Real Voodoo Queens, followed by Voodoo Hounfour. When you are not in Interrogation mode, use the clay on the bracelet. Leave Casanoux and travel to Napoleon House, the icon being the statue.
Ask Stonewall the bartender about Voodoo, Bar Patrons (x2), and Sam and Voodoo. During these conversations, you learn that Sam has never won a chess match against his friend Marcus. Finish talking to Stonewall, and give the lagniappe to Sam, the dude in the purple suit playing chess. Convince Sam that you have something that will help him win at chess. When Sam tries out the lagniappe, he will win chess for the first time. After Sam has finished cheering, give the clay impression on Sam. Leave the Napoleon House. Day 3 will end here.
