This game has an awkward look and style that reminds me more of Strider than Ninja Gaiden. That point aside, Ninja Gaiden for the Game Gear is a nice addition to the portables growing list of action carts, but it still comes up short on game play and in some areas, graphics.

Nett, aber nicht weltbewegend: Falls Ihr mit nur vier mittelmäßig langen Levels auskommt, könnte Euch Ninja Gaiden die Zeit bis zum Erscheinen der nächsten offiziellen Shinobi-Version verkürzen.

Obwohl sich Sega nicht dazu hinreißen lies, neue Ideen auszutüfteln, spiele ich das prügellastige Jump'n'Run ganz gerne. Die ordentliche Grafik sowie die annehmbare akustische Untermalung heben Ninja Gaiden auf Durchschnittsniveau.
