What it all boils down to is that Batman: Vengeance for the Game Boy Advance is a decent enough game. It can be quite fun in parts, but other levels can merely be a chore to deal with while you make your way to the next. If you're in the market for a cross-genre game that combines many different gameplay styles or you're a fan of Batman in general, then this one is right up your alley. If not, you might be better off playing games that are geared toward delivering one solid type of game, rather than taking four beaten paths.

With all the different styles of gameplay, there's a lot to do in Batman Vengeance, sure...but most of the designs are extremely uninspired, and the animation comes off stiff and wiry. It just feels like the game was made by a team unfamiliar with the GBA hardware, and didn't have enough time to get up to speed with what it can do. "Better than average" is the best way to describe Ubi Soft's first Batman adventure for the Game Boy Advance.

Batman Vengeance est un assez bon jeu mais qui n'a peut-être pas forcément sa place dans la logithèque des jeux Gameboy Advance. Il aurait fait un hit pour la Gameboy Color, il fait un jeu moyen sur GBA.

It's got tasty FMV and gadgets but also frustrating generic gameplay and lots of instant death moments – a problem considering Batman's only got one life. Bat-fans may be happy but others will tire quickly.

While it's admirable that Ubi Soft attempted to pack in loads of variety into this tiny GBA cartridge, it would have been better if they chose one aspect of the game and did it right. This isn't a terrible game, but it's not a very good one either. If you want platform, puzzle, shooting, or driving action there are many titles that offer a superior experience in each of these genres. If you want a middling experience where you get all four in one, then by all means pick this game up.
