Boxing Fever is a deep, cerebral game of pugilism; if you’re the type to jump in and start mashing on buttons, you’ll probably be frustrated very quickly. Those who can appreciate the strategic, seat-gripping gameplay and lush graphics are going to love this game. Highly recommended, especially if you’ve got a friend interested in two-player.

Gaming Target
First and foremost, Boxing Fever successfully does with graphics that which few Game Boy Advance games have. Most GBA games fall prey to the fact that the screen on the handheld is so small. The graphics of these games often become obscured and/or look dark on the non-illuminated screen. Boxing Fever, with its first-person perspective, fills the screen with humorously animated characters wherein no detail is lost.

Game Over Online
When the final bell rings, Boxing Fever is an excellent arcade boxing title. Obviously inspired by the popular Punch Out series, Boxing Fever offers a little more strategy and a fantastic two-player mode. If you’re a boxing fan with a Game Boy Advance, step in the ring with Boxing Fever, you won’t be disappointed.

Boxing Fever is very well animated, and an excellent perspective on the boxing game. The action is well delivered and puts the game player right into the ring.

There's something innately fun about throwing a couple jabs and finishing with an uppercut on someone to knock them out. Majesco delivers a solid boxing game that is challenging and entertaining for single players, and a blast for two-player fisticuffs fun. Video game old-timers will automatically recall Nintendo's classic Super Punch-Out game as you take Boxing Fever through a couple rounds. You face off against your opponent in the first-person perspective as your free-floating gloves punch, jab, and uppercuts launch into eight different opponents of varying skills and strength.

Fever doesn't quite equal NES' Punch-Out, but then again, it could teach Midway a thing or two about boxing fun.

In the end, Boxing Fever is a fun GBA boxing game. The graphics are great, the gameplay is solid, and the quick fights make it the perfect type of game to play when you're on the go. It may not have the depth of a Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, but it's definitely worth taking a look at, if only to see the sharp graphical presentation.

Boxing Fever est une réelle déception pour tous les amateurs de boxe. Quelques lacunes techniques et un intérêt bien trop faible viennent gâcher tout le fun qui aurait dû se dégager du titre. C'est vraiment dommage.

The learning curve to this game is very low which lets the player hop in and start punching away. Yet, there is little variety and challenge after winning your first few championships and the replay value of the game begins counting for the KO. Aside from decent graphics and mediocre sounds, Boxing Fever may give your heart a mild thump but quickly find it sitting at ringside. Retirement often comes swiftly to some lightweights of the Boxing genre.
