Overall, Disney's Atlantis translated well onto the GBA system and will undoubtedly appeal to fans of the movie and it is accessible for many different levels of gamers. While it doesn't add anything new or addictive for gamers who might be familiar with the genre, it looks good and it's gameplay is simple and solid.

But enough with negativity! What is good then about this game? Again, it is surely a good present for younger gamers to whom it’d give plenty of challenge. Those of them who loved the movie will surely adore the game! The soundtrack is varied and beautiful, thus creating just the perfect atmosphere for a place like Atlantis.

Game Vortex
Die hard Disney fans, or Parents looking for good, non-violent games for young children would do well in giving Atlantis a look, but anyone else may want to think twice before signing up for this expedition.

Overall Atlantis: The Lost Empire is a straightforward tie-in and for fans of the film will be enjoyable fare. Anyone who meets this category can add another point to the score but for the rest of us, the key word is average.

I probably should be easier on this game in much the same way I should be easier on Adam Sandler movies. Like Happy Gilmore, Atlantis: The Lost Empire hits all of the expected notes. Like so many things in the entertainment industry, it’s not bad. It’s adequate. Most people won’t be too disappointed with this game in much the same way that most people won’t be disappointed with Rocky VI when it comes out. I, on the other hand, gave up on Rocky at number IV.

Computer and Video Games (CVG)
Lacking the quirky level design and inventive touches of Mario and Rayman, and looking like the eletronic equivalent of a puddle of sick, Atlantis is average at best. The main hero, Milo - dressed in a white grandad vest - moves too fast for you to control with any accuracy, so avoiding the hazards around the unimaginative levels is stupidly tough. The game's only plusses are that it follows the plot of the movie pretty accurately, and isn't so bad if you're not a seasoned platformer. Chances are you won't like it even if you love the movie.
