Dare to dream
Klonoa returns to win the biggest tournament yet.
If Klonoa wants to be the best, he needs to get his jumping shoes on in this new platform adventure.
Features
- Five new worlds
- Test your puzzle-solving skills
- Hoverboard races
- Three save slots
The floppy-eared hero races against time and other dream travelers in this side-scrolling adventure. Klonoa enters the Dream Champ Tournament and must collect stars and sun and moon stones and be the fastest to make it through each world to become the ultimate Dream Champion.
In Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tourney, each world is broken up into areas called Visions. Klonoa finds sun and moon stones in each Vision. Three moon stones will open the moon door at the end of a Vision. Collecting each sun stone in a world reveals a surprise.
Also, collect all Dream Stones in each Vision to unlock a piece of the picture in the Dream Gallery.
Klonoa will need to watch out for Moos and Flying Moos. Although these plump creatures can damage Klonoa, he can also use them to his advantage. With a wind bullet, Klonoa can catch enemies and use them to double jump or to break crates. He can also throw enemies into other enemies.
Each world has its share of platform puzzles to figure out. Don't worry if you threw that Moo away too early. A new one is on its way to replace it. If you get stuck in a level, you'll need to press Start and choose Reset to start the level over. Each world also has a stage where you ride a hoverboard and collect stones. The hoverboard areas are littered with bonus retry power-ups.
The graphics look nice and the levels are well designed. Those unfamiliar with the series might look at the title and think that there's some type of fighting involved. You won't find that here, but you will find solid platforming fun.
Bottom Line
Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tournament looks great. It will really get you jumping.
