The Japanese version of the game is named "Wai Wai Racing"; Konami released two games for the Famicom entitled Wai Wai World & Wai Wai World 2: SOS!! Paseri Jou which parodied many of their current [at the time] game series. This game is an indirect sequel to those two games.
