Konami Krazy Racers

Konami Krazy Racers is a game I would highly recommend. Its great to play when your just hanging around waiting for people to come over or on the way back and forth to work. It is also a great alternative to Mario Kart, which by now is out in the stores.

Dieser Fun-Racer ist durchaus sehr gelungen. Tolles Gameplay, saubere Grafik und abwechslungsreiche Spiel-Modi machen "Krazy Racers" zu einem kleinen Hit-Titel. Es gilt im normalen Race-Modi, als erster durch die witzigen Strecken zu kommen. Hilfreich dabei, sind einem natürlich diverse Goodies... mit diesen kann man seine Gegner abschießen oder sich Turbos verschaffen. Fazit: Eine sehr gelungene Alternative zu "Mario-Kart"!

Krazy Racers komt daarmee terecht in de categorie klonen. Dat hoeft niet slecht te zijn; je kunt beter iets goed jatten, dan slecht verzinnen maar het feit blijft dat dit spel eigenlijk precies dezelfde gameplay biedt als Mario Kart en die game is gewoon beter. Kun je dus niet een paar maanden wachten op Mario kart, dan vinden we dit een goed alternatief. Je hebt gegarandeerd vele dagen lol, helemaal als je vier GBA's aan elkaar hangt.

The grand prix mode and the driving tests present a strong challenge that will keep you playing these single-player modes for hours, and near flawless multiplayer only adds to the overall replay value of the game. Konami Krazy Racers is an incredibly entertaining game that's certainly worthy of the attention of any kart-racing fan.

Aside from a few minor miscues, Konami Krazy Racers performs nicely, and fits perfectly on the handheld platform. It is a fast-action racing title and definitely an enjoyable game for all ages and interests.

Något kortfattat kan man beskriva Konami Krazy Racers som den mest uppenbara Mario Kart-klonen hittills. Och med ett så lyckat koncept att utgå ifrån är det svårt att misslyckas, särskilt när det är Konami som drar i trådarna. Frågan är bara vad Nintendo ska göra nu.

Konami Krazy Racers est indéniablement un titre à posséder à l'heure actuelle sur la console. Graphismes soignés, animation rapide et fluide, maniabilité exemplaire... Tous les éléments du hit sont réunis pour le plaisir des possesseurs de Game Boy Advance. Reste à savoir si Mario Kart Advance gardera les faveurs des joueurs.

Konami Krazy Racers is a tremendous game to sit down with on the tube, or play while perched on the couch suffering in the gap between your two favourite TV programs. It's debatable as to whether or not Mario Kart will do much to usurp it; they are virtually the same, but at least in the mean time you have no real excuse for denying yourself this game. If you can afford it, buy it. Otherwise, make do with what you've got and wait for Mario Kart.

Un titre pas très original mais incroyablement fun. Aussi bien destiné aux grands qu'aux petits, il réserve de nombreuses heures d'un jeu intensif et passionnant jusqu'à la sortie de Mario Kart Advance, à moins qu'il ne place déjà la barre un peu haut pour notre ami le plombier...

As I said, all the core elements of the genre are ably done. The control is solid, and the Career mode has implemented a license system obviously inspired by the Gran Turismo series. Also, you can earn money to buy weapons for your next race by collecting coins during gameplay. There are some nice track designs, a funny power-up attack that turns enemies into pigs, but nothing that hasn't been done better many times in the past. Looking at the list of games that will be on store shelves, I'd be hard-pressed to find a reason to purchase this one.

I would suggest both Mario Kart and F-Zero for the GBA before I would suggest Krazy Racers. This game is definitely fun, though. Pick it up if you can't find the other two.
