This is simply the best football offering available on a handheld. If you know and love the old SNES or Genny Madden, this is the game for you. The expanded season mode and link-up play will keep you busy on a plane, in the hotel room, at the dinner table, etc. It's simple, arcade-style football, but it's fun.

In the end, Madden 2003 for the Game Boy Advance is a classic game of football that most football fans can enjoy. The controls and overall presentation, while lifted from the Madden games of the past, are up to the current GBA standards and do a nice job of delivering NFL fun on the go.

It's football, it's portable, and if you still love 16-bit football you'll be pleased. For those who can't go back to their past, forget it. Maybe before the console fades away and we have a Game Boy Advance SP EX Ultra Micro Hi-res Dual Analog edition. Until that happens, stick with the latest console version of Madden.
