Medal of Honor: Underground

If not for the garish visuals, Medal of Honor: Underground would be the kind of game you'd want in your collection. The design is superb and the historical authenticity is immensely charming. Nevertheless, the graphics are bad, and they definitely kick the game down a couple of pegs.

Medal of Honor Underground for the GameBoy Advance is a sub-average game, thanks to the awful graphics and interface limitations of the handheld console. While the developers paid very close attention to level design, game authenticity and music, the graphical presentation is comparable to early MS-DOS games. The A.I. seems to take advantage of graphical glitches, which makes the gameplay quite frustrating, and only the most bored and devoted Medal of Honor fans will be seen replaying this title.

Spelet saknar i stort sett allt som gjorde seriens tidigare delar bra. Grafiken är grå och livlös, kontrollen oacceptabel och nazisterna så urbota korkade att de fortsätter att patrullera av och an trots att de blir beskjutna. Detta räcker naturligtvis som argument för att avfärda spelet. Beaktar man även sättet som det kommit till på, blir Underground en direkt osmaklig upplevelse.

Comment une série si somptueuse a-t-elle pu donner une adaptation aussi pauvre ? Medal Of Honor Underground est l'archétype même du jeu bâclé s'appuyant uniquement sur une grosse franchise pour se vendre et délaissant tout le côté technique. Un véritable désastre.
