www.nintendo.com – Game Boy Advance:
Elise, Eddie and 10 other shredding stars from the GCN hit get sleek and small in this to-go Pak.
You can run a single race on any of the eight courses, or venture onto the World Circuit. Here you can brandish off your bag o' tricks (showoff style) or just speed down the mountain (race style). Compared to their wild and wacky GCN counterparts, the courses here are straightforward.
SSX Tricky offers screen text in English, French or German. A handy tutorial takes you through the basic tricks.

Big hair and big air baby!
EA Sports' SSX Tricky is truly a big-air affair, with insane circus-style stunts, near-vertical drops and no-holds-barred snowboarding action.
SSX Tricky is a sequel to the successful SSX game which originally appeared on Play Station 2. Now that the series is graduating to Nintendo GameCube, the action is more intense than ever before. Despite responsive and realistic play control, SSX Tricky thumbs its nose at reality and allows gamers to link together impossibly insane tricks over stomach-dropping gaps.
Tricky features 12 ultra-hip riders -- six all-new boarders and six seasoned vets from the original game. Pick your favorite rider then tackle one of the game's three modes: World Circuit, Show-Off (trick), and Free Ride. The Nintendo GameCube version of SSX Tricky plays great, with a lightning-fast framerate and a slammin' soundtrack produced by the nimble fingers of Mix Master Mike and other real-world wax warriors.
SSX Tricky is available now. Check out the links in the upper-right corner of this page for screen shots and videos.
Game progress is saved to a Nintendo GameCube Memory Card 59 (five blocks are required to save, more for replays).

Press Release - GameCube:
EA SHIPS SSX TRICKY FOR THE NINTENDO GAMECUBE
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – November 27, 2001 – Lace up your boots, grab your snowboard and get ready for an adrenaline rush as EA (Nasdaq: ERTS) announced today it’s shipping SSX Tricky for the Nintendo GameCube’. SSX Tricky, from EA SPORTS BIG’, is the eagerly anticipated sequel to the top-selling original PlayStation® 2 title SSX and features huge new tricks, challenging tracks, zany celebrity characters and innovative “making of” content. SSX Tricky is currently available on the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system and will be available later this year on the Xbox’ video game system from Microsoft.
SSX Tricky is aptly named as it features incredible big air tricks including the all-new Uber Tricks. Uber Tricks are maneuvers taken from the world of motocross, BMX, skateboarding and even break dancing to create player specific trick rewards. In addition to new tricks, SSX Tricky features two new tracks, while the original eight tracks received a face-lift with redesigns and updates, totaling ten tracks.
Bringing the riders to life is another key ingredient in SSX Tricky. The characters in SSX Tricky each bring their own attitude and riding style to the mountain and are brought to life by voice-over and character development work by voice actors including Hollywood celebrities. David Arquette (Scream), Lucy Liu (Charlie’s Angels) and Oliver Platt (West Wing) are just a few who contributed their vocal personalities to SSX Tricky. In addition, their real-life counterparts inspired the personalities, looks and styles of the celebrity-voiced characters.
SSX Tricky features totally revamped “trick” versions of the courses called Showoff courses. Here gamers race against the clock while performing huge tricks in an effort to win gold medals for total trick points. Improved rider artificial intelligence makes racers more competitive, while enhanced rider physics affords players more control.
Music plays a huge role in SSX Tricky. New songs and exclusive mixes from the cutting edge world of electronic breaks and beats comprise the techno soundtrack cut by such turntable all-stars as Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys, Aphrodite, BT, The Plump DJ’s and others. Nettwerk Records will be releasing a soundtrack CD of the music in SSX Tricky. Also, a cool in-game soundtrack delivers an interactive and intelligent companion to gameplay, while music and sound effects are woven into the game to create more emotional moments.
SSX Tricky is rated “E” (Everyone) by the ESRB and supports one or two players. Consumers may purchase the game directly at the EA Store (http://www.eastore.ea.com), or by calling EA Direct Sales at 1.877.324.2637, for a suggested retail price of $49.95.

One of the innovative new features to SSX Tricky is its release on DVD. DVD allows for extra game content on the disc including two new tracks, alterations to original tracks and the “making of” content similar to what is found on a movie DVD. The “making of” section includes exclusive behind the scenes video featurettes covering subjects from “track creation” to “celebrity voices,” giving gamers a peek into the hard work and creativity that goes into creating a hit title.

From uk.playstation.com:
Picking up where the first SSX left off, SSX Tricky takes free-wheeling snowboarding action to new levels of intensity. Not only does the game include the full range of spectacular courses from the first SSX game, but there are now two brand new white-knuckle runs to test your skills to the max. You'll also come face to face with some amazing new jumps, trails that suddenly divide into two, and terrifying slopes made of pure ice! All this to the sound of some pumping mixes by the likes of Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys and The Plump DJs.
