This is certainly one of the better GBA shooters and if you prefer 3-D, then this isn't a bad choice. The chances of seeing a real Star Fox game on the GBA is probably pretty limited and this is a nice departure from the norm. It's long, it's difficult, and it looks pretty cool running on the small screen. It would be a nice pick up at a bargain price.

There's no going back for the GBA now: Star X proves that much better things are to come for this handheld. I am sure now I will get a barrage of mail pointing to the revolutionary nature of this product. They will cite things like how this is a technical revolution, like THX 1138 before Star Wars. But without solid music, sound and most importantly, a compelling raison d'etre for this beautiful world to exist (and for you to sink money to play it), it's a game like the women you find in trendy boutiques downtown: all looks, great looks at that, but no heart at all.

A mon avis, ce jeu n'a qu'un mérite c'est qu'il prouve deux choses. La première c'est qu'une adaptation de Star Fox sur GBA serait une vache de bonne idée. La seconde, c'est que le résultat serait sûrement grandiose si le titre était confié à d'agiles petites mains de grands créateurs de jeu. En attendant, Star X reste le seul titre du genre sur GBA, alors si le coeur vous en dit... Ceci dit, être unique ce n'est pas une raison pour être aussi vilain, franchement quand on a vu V-Rally 3 pour la technique, et le vrai Star Fox pour le Gameplay, on se dit que ce Star X aurait pu être bien meilleur, alors comme dirait Pierre Desproges « S'il vous plaît, je vous en prie ».
