The Playstation adaptation of this forced you to jump through a number of hoops to unlock all the characters and levels. The DC version skips this and has them available from the start.

1001 Video Games

Street Fighter Alpha 3 appears in the book 1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die by General Editor Tony Mott.

Charlie and Guile

Street Fighter Alpha/Zero 3 marks the first time ever that U.S. Army partners Charlie and Guile appear together in the same game. Before this, Charlie starred in the Alpha/Zero series, but Guile was absent. Likewise, in the original Street Fighter II and the Super Street Fighter series, Guile was seen, but Charlie wasn't.

According to publisher Capcom, Street Fighter Alpha 3 has sold 1 million copies worldwide since its initial release (as of June 30, 2016).
