Like the man himself, TW 2004 takes golf to a new level. The extra content just about makes the purchase worthwhile, but how can you keep improving on a hole-in-one?

If you want a golf sim, then you should stay as far away from this series as possible. This is supposed to be a fast and fun golfing title. It succeeds in that partly. If your definition of fun is wailing on computer opponents by over 15 strokes every round, then you'll be fine. If you just want a simply game of golf to pass the time, then this works on that level too. If you actually want to be challenged, then this is simply not the game for you.
Even with its simplistic control and lax putting game, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 is still a satisfying golfing experience on the Game Boy Advance. It doesn't have much in the way of competition since the only two other GBA golf games weren't much better than the average fare. This game is a great first step in bringing the console golfing experience to the handheld, since it makes for a decent foundation for a 2005 follow-up. It will be interesting to see how well this holds up against the only other golf game on the horizon: Nintendo and Camelot's Mario Golf: Advance Tour. But as it stands, video golf fans will dig Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004.

With slick looking visuals and easy to pick up and play, this game scores a hole in one for those looking for a great golf game for their GBA. The simplicity of the gameplay may push die hard simulation freaks away from this title but those looking for a quick fix of golf cannot go wrong with this title. EA has very little competition on the GBA for a golf game and, like in real life, Tiger Woods 2004 is at the top of the pack.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 is an enjoyable golf game. While it isn’t as deep as Mario Golf Advance, it is good enough to warrant a purchase if you really like golf games.
There's definitely some potential for a good handheld game of golf in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004, but unfortunately, halfhearted design and somewhat low production values really keep the game from being as fully realized as it could be. But even when you take that into consideration, there really aren't many golf games on the GBA, and though Tiger 2004's shortcomings are certainly apparent, they're not insurmountable if you're a determined fan of the sport.
