With a compelling storyline, astounding graphics and beautiful music and sound, simple gameplay and being one of the largest RPGs on the GBC to date (spanning over 40 hours), Dragon Warrior III stands apart from the multitude, a shining example of what the definitive role-playing experience on the GBC should be. Simply put, this is one of those must have games in your game library. Again, my kudos and highest regards to Enix on a job well done!

Dragon Warrior 3 is one of the best, most extravagant Game Boy Color games to date. Promising hours upon hours of gameplay, how can you go wrong? Gameplay most certainly isn’t boring either, being that you never lose the need to explore and learn more of the world you are in. If you have a Game Boy Color, or a Game Boy Advance, you want this game. It’s one of the best, if not the best, RPG the Game Boy has to offer currently. Happy playing!

Thank you Nintendo for creating the Game Boy Color and the newly released, impossible-to-find-except-in-pink Game Boy Advanced, that we may enjoy Dragon Warrior III wherever we may roam. But Thank You’s and kudos got to the folks at Enix for bringing to the Game Boy, a fabulous, astounding, mesmerizing and thoroughly enchanting role-playing game. Hats off to you for a superb job! If you do not have this game as part of your Game Boy Color/Game Boy Advance collection then, you do not have a collection until you own Dragon Warrior III!

One of the most entertaining and inspiring RPG’s ever is given an amazing facelift for the Game Boy Color. The game is massive (over 50 hours of gameplay), beautiful, and most importantly, it’s fully enjoyable. If you’re a fan of the series, a fan of RPG’s, or even if you own a GBC, you MUST own this game. It is truly that great. What are you waiting for? GO!

Dragon Warrior III is a fine game, but it's not for everyone. Serious role-players will appreciate this throwback to the RPG days of yore, but if you know you don't like the console RPG experience, steer clear. Recent RPG initiates who've cut their teeth on flashier fare like the PlayStation Final Fantasy games or Legend of Dragoon might do well to take a trip back and see how the genre evolved. In short, Dragon Warrior III knows its audience, and for a game that originally came out over a decade ago, it's doing pretty well.

If you're an RPG vet, you already largely know what to expect from DWIII, and you will not be disappointed; if you're more a casual, hands-on Zelda type of adventurer, you'll need to rely quite a bit more on (the stats of) others than you've had to in the past, but you're in for a vast and entertaining world.
