Pokémon Trading Card Game

Weer een kassakraker voor Nintendo. Ook op Pokémon Trading Card Game valt niets aan te merken.

Despite myself, I ended up having a lot of fun playing this game - the battles are addictive, and it's interesting to see what new cards you get when winning. Two player battles sound quite intriguing, but I didn't have the capacity to try one. One assumes it would use the same mechanic as the single player game, but via the link cable. Apparently, it's also possible to gain extra unique cards via a "card popping" mechanic between unique cartridges - this can only be done once between a particular pair of carts. Gotta catch 'em all. Don't expect a great deal of the sound or graphics - music isn't annoying enough to be an issue, but it's not much of an improvement on that, and the graphics are pretty straightforward. It's not really advancement on the standard Pokemon games, at least as far as I can tell.

Cette adaptation en jeu vidéo permettra à tous ceux qui ne connaissent pas encore le principe ou qui cherchent simplement de nouveaux défis à relever de découvrir tout le potentiel ludique de ce jeu très riche et particulièrement vaste. Un titre très accrocheur qui renouvelle une fois de plus le principe des Pokemons.

A great game for a time, Pokemon Trading Card is a faithful and amusing adaptation of the collectible card game, but it suffers as a single-player video game. Collecting all 226 pieces of paper just doesn't satisfy like "catching 'em all" can and does.

A la fois fidèle au jeu de cartes de Wizards of The Coast et à l'univers des Pokémon, Pokémon Trading Card Game est un petit bijou pour tous les pokémaniaques, et surtout ceux qui adhèrent au jeu original qui retrouveront une parfaite retranscription sur cartouche. La réussite de ce jeu tient aussi en grande partie à l'intelligence artificielle des adversaires, impressionnante pour un jeu Game Boy, qui autorise une re-jouabilité potentiellement infinie, même après avoir remporté tous les challenges. Un excellent cadeau de Noël pour tous les amis intimes de Pikachu, mais peut-être un peu élitiste pour les autres.

Det här är ett spel som egentligen borde förses med en stor varningstext som talar om vad det går ut på. Jag kan visserligen inte säga att det är en dålig produkt, men att sälja den som ännu en "måste ha"-pryl i Pokémon-hypen och dessutom locka med att det ligger ett "sällsynt" Pokémon-kort i kartongen gränsar till vilseledande marknadsföring. Har du inte fastnat för det analoga kortspelet lär inte den digitala versionen tillföra något till ditt liv.
