All in all, Spider-Man is probably the greatest Game Boy Color games that I’ve played for a long time. The only thing is, once you beat it, there’s little reason to replay, because you already know the plot and what’s going to happen. You don’t need to worry about that though, this game is pretty difficult. If you or someone you know is a Spider-Man fan it’s a must buy, even if it’s just going to sit on your shelf of Spider-Man collections. This is one of the finest Game Boy Color games available today.

Spider-Man is a nice 2D companion to the 3D PlayStation game of the same name. It's the kind of action adventure title that'll make you wish the Game Boy Color had a backlit screen. You may even find yourself playing the game when you're at home and have full access to your television and its accompanying game systems. This one's not just for long car trips, folks!

Or, perhaps, you can grab your Game Boy Color, play Spider-Man and discover that a virtual spider-life is far more frustrating than any blunder you ever watched good old Peter make on TV.

Daily Radar
Spider-Man was a platform star long before Sonic or even Mario. In the Marvel comic books we all read when we were 10, we saw a primitive platform game unfold through nine cells per page. Spider-Man's abilities to adapt and web-sling through any situation have earned him a place on nearly every major system in the history of games. The rising anticipation for the upcoming Nintendo 64 and PlayStation Spider-Man games could have been quelled with a good portable game fix starring our tight-costumed friend. Vicarious Vision's Game Boy Color offering falls a bit short, but the Spidey experience is alive and well in the game -- if only for the first few minutes.
