Trivia
You cannot see as much of a scene at one time as on the NES version because the Game Boy Color does not have the same dimensions as a standard television set.
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe is actually a combination of two games: the original SMB game and the Japanese SMB2. Note however, that what the Japanese call Super Mario Bros. 2 is not the same game that we know. The Japanese SMB2 was simply a whole new collection of levels for SMB and featured new little tricks like wind that pushed you backwards in some stages, and even auto-scrolling! As for the U.S. SMB2? That game was based off of another Japanese Famicom game called "Dream Factory Doki! Doki! Panic", which was an Arabian themed game just retooled a bit for Mario and crew.
