Portable Review
Even the power of Dracula can’t help this game escape from the curse befalling most platformers: poor replay value. Once Kid's all done with the game, there’s not much to maintain your interest, the game’s pretty much done. However, eventually, you may end up picking it up again, but it’ll be quite awhile after your initial play-through. All-in-all, if you’re a fan of MegaMan or Castlevania, and can track this one down on eBay or something, you could do a lot worse than picking it up.

The game itself is very easy, presenting little challenge for experienced platform fans, and that coupled with the large sprites, leads me to the conclusion of the rather overused cliche that this game is probably best suited for younger players.

Kid Dracula is just the sort of cutesy game that often bypasses SNES and NES for Game Boy. It's chock-full of big-headed, round-eyed, user-friendly versions of famous monsters that won't give you nightmares. But if you can get past the juvenile look of Kid Dracula, it winds up being a nice surprise. You may have seen much of it before, but for another platform-hopping game, it hums along well.
