This is the sequel to the very popular Metroid for the NES. In Metroid 2, you control Samus Aran in her quest to rid the planet SR388 of the Metroid parasites. After killing the space pirate Mother Brain in the original Metroid, Samus must take on this adventure to prevent the Metroids from multiplying throughout the galaxy. Samus soon finds out that the Metroids have mutated, making them much more difficult to defeat.

Trivia

Just like in the original, Metroid 2 has different ending screens depending on how long it took you to beat the game. If you finish it in over 5 hours you get Samus running towards you; if you finish it in 3-5 hrs she jumps and then stays still facing you; and if you beat the game in under 3 hours she jumps like before but when she lands she appears without the armor and dressed in nothing but a tank-top and a thong! Work it Girl!
