Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins

Según lo que hemos ido comentando a lo largo de la crítica es más que probable que tengáis una idea concreta de lo que es, fue y será este título a la hora de referirnos a plataformas en una portátil. Una segunda parte que nada tiene que envidiar a la anterior (ni a la posterior) cuya principal finalidad es divertir... y lo cumple. Además de divertir se hace agradable gracias a todo el apartado técnico, que incluye un apartado sonoro genial y unos gráficos muy agradables. En definitiva, uno de los títulos que todo jugador que se precie ha de tener, o al menos, ha de jugar.

In this sequel to SML 1 Wario makes his debute as a Mario villain. The graphics is dramatically improved compared to SML 1 and it´s really pure fun to play, and is much bigger than SML 1, but sadly a much to low skillsetting and an infinite supply of continues makes this Mario game much to easy. SML 2 is a little bit weird with bosses like the Three Little Pigs! The enemies are nothing like the ordinary Mario enemies even though Wario also "borrowed" some of Bowser´s old troops like the Goombas and Koopas to use in his army. SML 2 is little bit to easy for the real power player but is perfect for younger players.

Overall, Super Mario Land 2 is one of my favorite platforming games of all time. Despite the limited color palette of the original Game Boy, the levels still somehow seem vibrant and interesting. Despite the lack of difficulty, there is still plenty of replay value to be had in going through and finding all of the little secret nooks and crannies. A top notch sound track and silky smooth controls round off what I find to be a timeless classic.

In definitiva Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins è un'avventura che stupisce e diverte, un classico che ancora oggi merita davvero di essere giocato, in poche parole la semplicità trasformata in un complesso capolavoro.

Wer seine Meinung zu einem neuen Mario-Spiel kundtut, hat's schwer, sich nicht dauernd mit Superlativen zu überschlagen. Diesmal kann ich zumindest in einem Punkt (halbwegs) konstruktive Kritik üben: Super Mario Land 2 ist nicht das beste Mario aller Zeiten.

The best quality Gameboy title yet. Its only problem is that it's far too easy. A massive shame because if it had been challenging it would have been an all time classic.

Ultimately, this game can be a cute, fun, creative time-waster when you need to take your mind off something, like the fact that the doctor wrote down his phone number on your bill and "promised" you a rebate and you're actually considering it so you can pay for school, but, as a Mario game, this title's only real relevance is giving the world WARIO and everything that was to come after that.
