    Alien anarchy

Alien Hominid will zap its way into your heart.

A highly addictive and inventive cartoon shooter, Alien Hominid shows there's plenty of room for 2D games in a 3D world.

    Features

    • Two-player coop gameplay
    • Several minigames
    • Robust animation
    • Sixteen levels

You're just a little alien trying to piece your ship back together. Why are the men in black hassling you? They're not going to listen to reason, so they'll have to feel your alien weaponry firsthand. Blast your way through the FBI guys and piece together your ship so you can go home again.

Based on the popular Flash game you might have run across on the Internet, Alien Hominid is a full-featured shooting adventure. All action takes place in a cartoon environment. All the backgrounds, vehicles and characters look hand-drawn in a comic book style. But just because the enemies look cartoonish don't expect them to take it easy on you. The frenzied gameplay forces you to get that trigger finger into shape.

Alien Hominid features shooting, shooting and more shooting. However, our little yellow extra-terrestrial also hops in vehicles (occupied and unoccupied) and bulldozes buildings or rolls through enemies in a tank. The alien's little blaster really isn't a match for the FBI arsenal. However, Fat Boy, an alien sympathizer, tosses out weapon power-ups to help even the score.

In addition to his blaster, the alien comes armed with grenades. The more destruction, the higher the score. Like the blaster, the grenades are upgradable to unleash even more damage. Blowing up a building often yields a power-up for your blaster.

If you're feeling overwhelmed by your enemies, have a friend jump in and engage in some classic two-player arcade shooting. In addition to the main game, the minigames also let two play cooperatively or head-to-head. (One of the minigames lets up to four players play.) You'll never be at a loss of something to shoot.

    Bottom Line

It's all destruction and all shooting all the time. And it's a load of fun
