While the Disney Sports series has potential, Skateboarding may not have been the best sport to start out with. The controls are buggy, the graphics are choppy, the sound is average and the voices will make you crawl up a wall in fear of your life. Hopefully this installment won’t sink the series, since Football and Soccer look much more impressive than this. If you’re a parent looking for a non-violent game that your kid may like, give this one a rental -- otherwise, avoid this one.

Games like Konami's Disney Sports Skateboarding for GameCube are both a curse for console owners and something of a blessing for those of us required to review them. The simple truth is that they're so bad, so sloppily executed, so utterly craptastic, that passing judgment on them is a breeze, far easier than rendering a final verdict for a mediocre piece of software. For that reason alone, this rubbish skateboarding disaster will always have soft spot in our heart. And yet, we'd sooner bathe ourselves in gravy and jump naked into a dangerous pack of rabid, crazed hounds than play it. This is not a "kid's skateboarding game" -- it's just a bad one. So Konami, thanks for making our life a little easier.

Overall, Disney Sports Skateboarding feels half-baked and rushed. If anything, the developers could have at least reused the Evolution Skateboarding engine, I mean, it seems to work well enough in MGS2: Substance. This game isn't recommended for anyone - even to the most loyal of Disney fans.

Disney Sports Skateboarding serves no purpose in this world, save to exemplify and showcase everything that can feasibly go wrong with a skateboarding game.
