With the solid game play, bright, colorful and above all extremely accurate environments and characters of the Sanrio universe fully realized, fans of Hello Kitty will feel right at home. It's not exactly God of War, but on a console where the general opinion is that it's solely for the kids, it's good to see a game for that age group that doesn't completely suck.

Hello Kitty Roller Rescue is a good children’s platformer, with an attractive combination of pleasing looks, easy tasks and collectibles. A few things hold it back from being a better game, such as the lack of mini-games, more interesting challenges and the awkward camera viewpoints. However, the presentation is nicely done and the ability to add clothes and weapons as they are unlocked is fun. This game is most likely to appeal to young girls under the age of 12.

If you know someone (young or old) who is a fan of Hello Kitty then Roller Rescue may be right up their alley. It's not too hard so younger gamers or non-gamers should be able to pick up and play right away without the frustration factor that plagues so many other "kiddy" games. So, if you want that perfect gift for that younger girl and she's a Hello Kitty fan then you have just hit the jackpot. Note: This final score is determined by how I feel it would be received by the intended audience and not so much on the hardcore gamer's opinions.

If you're looking for a cute video game to give to your favorite Sanrio fan, Hello Kitty: Roller Rescue is probably a good choice. It's a nice little kids' game, and its only major drawbacks are that it's rather short and that you don't get to see enough of the most popular characters.

Hello Kitty: Roller Rescue is the perfect game if you are looking for a few hours to kill and do not want to get into something too extensive. Granted, it is just a "button-masher" with a candy coating, but a must for any Sanrio fan. I would advise anyone who eats, breathes and sleeps Halo to steer clear for fear of a toothache from all the sugar.

Despite the few flaws, this is an incredibly good "gateway" game. If you want to take a child away from their Dora the Explorer and Barbie games and guide them into the more difficult, more rewarding games that the older children play, Hello Kitty Roller Rescue is the game to do it with. Look to see if you can find it at your local rental store, though; with the incredibly short play time and few but glaring flaws, this title falls just short of deserving a purchase.

Also schlüpft ihr in die Rolle von Kitty und räumt so richtig auf. Auf Rollschuhen flitzt ihr durch 15 Abschnitte, um die außerirdische Abrisskolonne in Schach zu halten. Dabei helfen euch viele süße Charaktere wie der Pinguin Badtz Maru und euer Zauberstab. Damit aktiviert ihr Wirbelwind-Attacken und erledigt die Blocks mit links. Das geradlinige Jump&Run-Prinzip wird mit seiner knuddeligen Optik vor allem kleinste Kitty-Fans ansprechen.

To start, Hello Kitty Roller Rescue won't appeal to the masses. The reason, apart from the sickly-sweet protagonist, is that X-Pec designed Roller Rescue with girls in mind. And not just any girls mind you, but girls under the age of ten. Developer X-pec crammed Roller Rescue with a relentless sense of cute. So much in fact, the game's level of sweetness could rot a gamer's teeth almost immediately. It happened to some guy the other day as he passed by the game at a local store. Honestly.

Quite obviously this game is aimed at a younger audience and Hello Kitty fans in particular. If you are neither of those things then you’ve already made up your mind to skip it. If perhaps you know someone with a GameCube that is a fan then you can’t go wrong giving Roller Rescue as a gift. The game is pretty competent for what it is and even though it’s not the most original experience in the world it is entertaining. In the end though I’m going to suggest a rent it because the game does only last for two hours or so and it’s really easy, even for kids.

Pourtant détenteur d'un design très accrocheur et d'un univers sympathique, Hello Kitty Roller Rescue ne parvient pas à convaincre. Redondant, limité et souffrant de problèmes de caméras, ce titre reste agréable une petite demi-heure et peut accrocher par la collection des tenues pour Kitty, au gré des niveaux traversés. Pourtant, les moins tenaces trouveront très rapidement des murs d'intérêt infranchissables. Il est sincèrement dommage de ne pas avoir profité de ce monde onirique dans un contexte de jeu d'aventure, plus profond et plus "magique". Les chats ne sont plus ce qu'ils étaient.
