Men in Black 2: Alien Escape is a fast-paced third-person perspective action game liberally infused with the trademark humour of the smash 1997 movie and recent hit sequel. The game is divided into five distinct episodes, including a Nuclear Station, the Docks and the streets of Manhattan. All episodes include various levels and challenges to complete prior to progressing through the game.
At the beginning of each level, players select either Jay, the athletic, reckless fast-talker, or Kay, the confident veteran. While Jay moves at a faster pace, Kay’s knowledge of weapons gives him a higher weapon damage and health bar. Allowing players to switch between characters gives them the opportunity to experiment with various weapons and character strengths, adding variety to the gameplay. Additionally, the non-playable character partner often appears in computer-generated cut-scenes and via comlink throughout the game, providing back up, advice and, of course, wisecracks. Other key members of the Men in Black 2: Alien Escape team, like Zed, also make appearances. Adding to the mayhem is a host of new aliens featured in the blockbuster movie sequel as well as popular creatures from the 1997 film, including the coffee-drinking Manitoba. While some aliens are allies and informants, most are hostile and will do anything to take over the planet.
Familiar Men in Black 2: Alien Escape equipment will be featured, including the Neuralyser, also known as the ‘flashy thing.’
Developed by Infogrames’ Melbourne House, Men in Black 2: Alien Escape will make its debut in early 2003.

Take on the roles of Agent Jay or Agent Kay as they blast alien criminals with powerful weapons in this third-person shoot-'em-up based on the blockbuster movie.
Back in Black
When the game begins, an alien prison ship is seen crashing into the ocean. Agents Jay and Kay are reunited to bring the escaped perps to justice. With over 20 different kinds of bad guys to disintegrate, our slick agents have their work cut out for them. Fortunately, the sharply dressed duo is armed and ready and the only thing shinier than their shoes is their guns.
Get unalienated in 20 fast and curious levels sprawling over five missions, packed with plenty of ambushes and humongous boss battles. Men In Black II: Alien Escape firmly emphasizes action, not puzzle solving. Always be ready to dodge enemy fire while giving back with every shiny weapon you've got.
Expect plenty of colorful explosions from the six anti-alien weapons at your disposal. The standard issue J2 Blaster is fine for taking out scrubs like the pesky Rakoss, but the collectible weapon upgrades will give you more firepower. The XD9 Lazy Weasel's wide field of fire makes it an excellent choice for taking out gangs of enemies. The HBIII Globulator's homing projectiles mush bad guys.
With its ionic disruption field shells (think colorful grenades), the K12 Ionhammer will make quick work of the hulking Mulkorans. The SLI Plasma Torch will turn up the heat on enemies. Last but not least is the DRG Fusion Cannon, which attaches to any existing weapon. Its punch depends on how long you charge it.
Disgusting enemies from the movie include Shark Guy, Jarra, Corn Face and Dog Poop. You must learn the attack patterns of each enemy if you want to survive, but in a pinch it's best to shoot first and think later. To avoid enemy fire you can strafe using the L and R Buttons and roll with a press of the B Button.
A Bit of Movie Magic
Infogrames didn't snare the rights to the likenesses of movie stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. Still, the game's Agents Jay and Kay look pretty darn spiffy in their black suits and sunglasses. An all-new set of actors does the voiceovers. The game music is new, too.
Unlockables include alien bios, agent bios, and behind-the-scenes clips from the movie. Everything is easily navigated with a slick set of menus.
