Summary
Very great game.
The Good
The third Resident Evil game was the first to have a subtitle. What made this game exceptionally different was the inclusion of a monster that followed you around everywhere you went. Think of Terminator - less Arnold. This dude has a very distinctive voice, not to mention he is much faster than other enemies of his size and stature.
The story was also very fast paced. It really felt like you were in Raccoon City alongside every zombie, crow and mutant. Jill became an icon the minute she first appeared in RE1. However, this was essentially HER game. The tool for creating extra ammo was unique and I'd like to see it make a return in future games. Unfortunately, this seems unlikely. Too easy?
The Bad
The puzzles had different answers every time you went to play through the game again. While this presented a challenge, it was a bit annoying on speed runs. The game has a single scenario, which was new at the time because the first two had multiple.
The Bottom Line
It's much better on the GameCube. If you can find it, it is worth replacing your PlayStation copy for GameCube...
